Apple Butter

4 lbs. Apples
4 Cups Sugar
1 Tbsp. Watkins Apple Bake Seasoning

Wash apples, remove stems and blossoms, don't peel and core. Cut apples into small pieces. Add 2 cups water; cover and simmer until apples are soft.
Strain peels and seeds. Measure 2 quarts apple pulp. Combine apple pulp, sugar and spice in a saucepot along with 1 Tbsp. of Watkins Apple Bake Seasoning. Cook slowly until thick enough to round up on a spoon. As pulp thickens stir frequently to prevent sticking. Ladle hot butter into hot jars leaving 1/4 in. headspace. Cap jars and process 10 minutes in boiling-water canner. Makes 5 pints.
