1/2 Cup Shortening
3/4 Cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 teas. Watkins Vanilla
2 Cups Sifted All-Purpose Flour
2-1/2 teas. Watkins Baking Powder
1/4 teas. Salt
1/2 Cup Milk
2 Cups Blueberries
1/2 Cup Sifted All-Purpose Flour
1/2 teas. Watkins Nutmeg
1/2 Cup Butter or Margarine
Cream shortening and 3/4 cup sugar. Add egg and vanilla and beat until light and fluffy. Sift together 2 cups flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Spread in greased 11" x 7" x 1-1/2" baking pan. Top with blueberries. Mix together 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup flour and nutmeg. Cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over blueberries. Bake at 350 F. for 45 minutes. Cut in squares. Serves 6-12
