2 Squares (1 oz. / 28 g each)
Unsweetened Chocolate
1/3 Cup / 80 mL Butter or Margarine
2/3 Cup / 160 mL All-Purpose Flour
1/2 teas. / 2.5 mL Watknis Baking Powder
1/4 teas. / 1.2 mL Salt
2 Eggs
1 Cup / 250 mL Sugar
1 teas. / 5 mL Watkins Vanilla Extract
1/2 Cup / 125 mL Chopped Walnuts
Melt chocolate along with butter in small saucepan; set aside. In large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and eggs; mix until smooth. Gradually add sugar while beating well. Blend in chocolate mixture along with the vanilla; mix well. Fold in chopped nuts. Spread into greased 8-inch / 20-cm square baking dish. Bake at 350°F / 180°C for 28 to 30 minutes; cool in pan. Cut into squares or rectangles. Makes 20 brownies, 1 per serving.
