Ginger Bars

1 Cup Shortening
1 Cup Sugar
2 Eggs
1 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Molasses
2-1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 teas. Baking Soda
1 teas. Watkins Ground Cinnamon
1/2 teas. Watkins Ground Cloves
1/2 teas. Watkins Ground Ginger
1/2 teas. Salt

In a mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs; beat well. Beat in water and molasses. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and salt; add to molasses mixture and mix well. Spread into a greased 15 x 10 baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-22 minutes untill bars test done. Cool. If desired sprinkle with powdered sugar.
