Glycerin Soap

Make this your first “project” of the class so it will be ready by class end. Use ¼ inch slice for each bar of soap. (The blocks are available in 1 lb. and 4 lb. blocks). Melt Glycerin in microwave for 45 seconds in glass creamer or measuring cup until completely melted, but don’t boil over. Use 25-30 drops of Watkins Pure Essential Oil for each soap. Add items to soap molds for fun such a:

-Slice of lemon for Energizing
-Fresh Mint for Purifying
-Lavender Flowers for Uplifting
-Cinnamon Chips for Warming
-Chamomile Flowers for Calming

Then, pour melted glycerin into mold. Takes about 1 ½ minutes to set. It takes ½ hour for the soap to completely set in the refrigerator or 1 hour at room temperature. Food coloring can also be used to color the soap by adding 1 drop of color to glycerin. Yogurt cartons are a great substitute for molds and make a very pretty bar of soap.
