Lentil Spaghetti Sauce

3/4 Cup / 180 mL Chopped Onion
2 teas. / 10 mL Watkins Liquid Garlic Spice
4 Cups / 1 liter Water
3 Tbsp. / 45 mL Watkins Chicken Soup Base
1 teas. / 5 mL Watkins Red Pepper Flakes
1-1/2 Cups / 375 mL Dry Lentils
1 Can (14.5 oz. / 411 g) Diced Tomatoes, undrained
1 Can (6 oz. / 170 g) Tomato Paste
1 Tbsp. / 15 mL Cider Vinegar
1-1/2 teas. / 7.5 mL Watkins Italian Salad Dressing blend
1/2 teas. / 2.5 mL Watkins Black Pepper

In large kettle, sauté the onion in Liquid Spice until tender. Add water, soup base and red pepper flakes; bring to a boil. Add lentils; reduce heat, cover and simmer 30 minutes. Add diced tomatoes and remaining ingredients and simmer an additional 45 minutes. Serve over hot cooked pasta. Makes 6 servings.
