Savory Herb Biscuits

2 1/2 Tbsp. /40 ml Vegetable Shortening
1 Cup / 250 ml All-Purpose Flour
1 1/2 teas. / 7.5 ml Watkins Baking Powder
1/8 teas.  / 0.6 ml Baking soda
1 teas. / 5 ml Watkins Chicken Soup Base
3/4 teas. / 4 ml Watkins Poultry Seasoning
1/2 Cup / 125 ml Buttermilk 

Cut shortening into flour, baking powder, baking soda, Chicken Soup Base, and Poultry Seasoning with pastry blender until mixture forms coarse crumbs.  Stir in buttermilk.  Drop eight portions of dough onto ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake at 450 degrees F / 235 C for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.  Makes 8 biscuits, 2 per serving.
