1 Cup / 250 mL Butter or
Margarine, softened
1/2 Cup / 125 mL Sugar
2-1/4 Cups / 560 mL All-Purpose Flour
1/2 teas. / 2.5 mL Salt
1 Egg
1 teas. / 5 mL Watkins Almond Extract OR Watkins
Vanilla Extract
Food coloring, if desired
Cream together butter and sugar; stir in remaining ingredients. Place dough in cookie press; form desired shapes on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400ºF / 205ºC for 6 to 9 minutes or until set but not brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack. Makes 60 cookies, 2 per serving.
