Saute of Spiced Pears & Almonds

4 Firm Bosc or Bartlett Pears
2 Tbsp. / 30 mL Lemon Juice
1 teas. / 5 mL Watkins Original Grapeseed Oil
1/4 Cup / 60 mL Orange Juice
1 Tbsp. / 15 mL Maple Syrup
1/2 teas. / 2.5 mL Watkins Orange Peel
1/2 teas. / 2.5 mL Watkins Vanilla Extract
1/4 teas. / 1.2 mL Watkins Cinnamon
1/4 teas./ 1.2 mL Watkins Ground Cloves
2 Tbsp. / 30 mL Toasted Sliced Almonds

Reconstitute orange peel according to directions on label. Peel and core the pears, cut lengthwise into thin slices. Place in a bowl and immediately toss with the lemon juice. In a large non stick skilled over medium high heat, saute the pears in the oil for 2 minutes. Cover and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally for 5 minutes, or until just tender. Remove with a slotted spoon and divide among 4 dessert dishes. To the pan, add the orange juice, maple syrup, orange peel, vanilla, cinnamon and cloves. Cook over medium high heat, stirring constantly, until syrupy. Spoon over the pears. Sprinkle with the toasted almonds.
