Who Needs Dietary Supplements?

What is Watkins?

 

Who needs them? Well, maybe you do and maybe you don't. To find out, take the following 10 question quiz. It will help to determine whether or not you should take dietary supplements at all.  Just simply answer the questions Yes or No.

#5. Yes No >Are you willing to eat 20 cups of sunflower seeds and 35 baked potatoes every day?
#6. Yes No >Do you eat every type of fruit and vegetable every day of the week.
#7. Yes No >Do you live in an environment that is free from pollution? That would mean an environment that is free of planes, trains, and automobiles, and no industrial pollution what-so-ever.
#8. Yes No >Are you 100% sure that all of the vitamins and minerals that you eat are bio-available to your body?
#9.  Yes No >Do you take any prescription or over the counter medication of any kind?
#10. Yes No >Are you on a reduction diet of some kind, such as trying to reduce the amount of fat, carbohydrates, calories or any other nutrient in your diet?
Well, let's see how you did!.

Looking at the first 8 questions, give yourself  1  point for each question that you answered "No". For the last 2 questions,  give yourself 1 point if you answered "Yes".

Now, add up your points. Total Points The more points that you have, the greater is your need to take dietary supplements.  Most people will score between 8 and 10 points, so don't feel bad if your score is high.

If you scored over 5 points, and are not currently taking dietary supplements, you may be deficient in many nutrients, and are most likely far from getting therapeutic levels of nutrients needed for optimal health.

If you scored 5 points or less, congratulations, you may be getting the minimum amount of nutrients necessary to reach 100% of the daily value, but if you don't take dietary supplements you're most likely not getting optimal doses of vitamins and other nutrients for the greatest health benefits.
